It takes good roots to make a sturdy tree
Help us build strong roots in our community
The Woodworkers Guild of Georgia, Inc., as can be seen from our Charitable Projects webpage, performs many tasks for local, needy causes. All of our labor is provided by our members and is voluntary, while member dues pay for a portion of the used supplies (lumber, glue, sandpaper, clamps, etc.) and most of our projects are built at member shops or at one of our patron sponsor facilities where virtually all work on charitable projects is performed.
Member dues are not enough to allow us to do all that we would like to do. We would like to be able to purchase some tools for building our charitable projects, because with all the use they get, they wear out more quickly than a hobbyist's tools most members have.
And, we would like to have a better facility; one that we could call our own, be big enough to contain necessary tools, project storage, conduct education, hold meetings, park ample cars, etc.
If you are interested in helping us out, with some form of a contribution, be it cash, land, building, or whatever, please let us know by contacting our Fund Raising Chairman at Fund Raising Chairman.
Thank you for your consideration.
